Dental Implants
What are dental implants?
Dental implants are a long-term solution for missing teeth. They replace the tooth root and support a natural-looking crown. Implants feel comfortable, look natural, and function like real teeth.
Diagnosis and planning
Before treatment, we carefully examine your teeth, gums, and jawbone. X-rays or a 3D scan may be taken to ensure that dental implants are suitable for you. Your medical history is reviewed, and the entire treatment plan is clearly explained so you know what to expect.
How the procedure works
The implant is placed into the jawbone under local anesthesia. The procedure is usually comfortable and pain-free. After placement, a healing period is required while the implant bonds with the bone. Once healing is complete, a custom-made crown is attached to restore function and appearance.
After the procedure – what to do
Rest on the day of surgery and allow your body to heal. Mild swelling or discomfort is normal and can be reduced with cold compresses and prescribed medication. Soft foods are recommended for the first few days, and oral hygiene should be maintained gently. Follow-up visits are important to ensure proper healing.
What to avoid after implant surgery
Smoking should be avoided, especially during the healing period. Hard or crunchy foods can place stress on the implant area and should be avoided. Heavy physical activity and touching the surgical site may interfere with proper healing.
